Glass is traditionally associated with fragility, yet it is a perfect material for kitchens because it is resistant, hygienic, easy to clean and, unlike other materials, non-deformable.
If you however have chosen a glass kitchen, the primary reason was perhaps aesthetic: a kitchen furnished completely in glass, or even just individual cabinets or tables or shelves, it is a sophisticated and design-oriented solution, which works well with, for example, minimalist, modern and futuristic styles.
1. Be mindful of scratching
2. Avoid excessive humidity
3. Clean gently
The glass used for your kitchen units is treated to make it resistant; it is not affected by high temperatures, wear and tear or infiltration by water. It remains however a material that is delicate by nature, which requires some care; avoid bringing blunt objects such as dishes into contact with it so as not to scratch the inside of your glazed kitchen doors.
Steam released from the dishwasher while it is still hot can create stains or scale on the glass of your cabinets, so only open it when it has completely cooled down.
Always remember to wipe off any drips.
To move stains from your glass cabinets you can use a soft or microfibre cloth dampened with water or a specific glass cleaner. Dry with a soft dry cloth, especially at joints between the glass and frame.
In the case of opaque glass, you can use soft cloths along with distilled water.
